Making a difference in your community and sharing the Optimist spirit comes in many forms. Often people refer this as: Time, Talent, or Treasure. Volunteering and being involved in club efforts and activities is the time. Offering input or expertise to help consult on projects, brainstorm ideas, or simply connect people to people is talent. Treasure is the financial assistance you can provide to the cause or help to generate so that we can truly make a significant impact to the lives of the kids we support.

The Sioux Valley Optimist Club is a 501(c)4 organization and donations to the club itself is not considered a charitable contribution for income tax purposes, however donations may be deductible in part as a business expense. All general donations outside of our fundraising projects go to our general operating fund and will be applied to current budgeted projects or awarded to other organizations in the form of grants.
